A hot and steamy lunch date and a runner’s high
I told you this morning that we had a slight change in our weekend plans, but I’ll get to that in a second. First, I have to tell you about the hot and steamy lunch date I had with my husband and 7 of his coworkers. I wore sweats.
We met at Papasitos since it was Ryan’s last day at Black Elk. They asked me to join because I am just that cool. I ordered the Costa Rican Tilapia with sweet pepper habenero sauce and it came with black beans and steamed veggies. I wanted to ask the waiter for a cup of the delicious sauce to hydrate myself with but he already thought I had issues since I had out a giant camera, was constantly taking pictures or asking him to take pictures, and asked for a dessert menu before he even brought out water.
(Obviously hot and steamy is a joke, like I said I wore sweats and consumed 3 whole onions, not even Noah will kiss me now.)
Soooo… I had someone offer me a place in this race this weekend, and after talking to my dietician and creating a solid meal plan, I said yes!!!
I went to the expo to pick up my bib and t-shirt and browsed around for a bit.
There’s something about being around 20,000 other crazy running people that makes me happy and feel almost normal for a minute.
My dearest Joseph,
Have I told you lately that I love you? Have I told you also how I barely have any neon running shoes and NEED these or life might not go on? They are beautiful and spoke to the deepest parts of my soul. If you have forgotten my birthday is less than 11 months away! Please please please let’s buy them.
A different angle so you can really grasp the magnitude of the experience.
So true. Moms are bad a$$es.
Can you tell I’m excited? I didn’t think so. I’m smiling ridiculously big as I type this because I am so happy (and not because I’m just that funny.)
Off to get ready for dinner and a game night with some friends! Enjoy your Friday night!
Question:
Have you ever ran a marathon? Which one? If not, do you ever plan to?
