Ripped apart in body pump.

by Elizabeth on January 28, 2014

That moment in Body Pump 88 where you squat and rip your (non-maternity? it’s my own fault) yoga pants. I think that hurt more than the 140 triceps reps we did.

I decided to forgo yoga yesterday morning and try out the new release class. The class was awesome just not for my pants! The timing was perfect because just when I was learning all the music/what to expect rep wise in the older body pump class it all changed! They say it’s best to keep your muscles guessing, right?

As long as the roads aren’t icy today I plan to go to yoga. If not I’ll get it done at home! Joe is working from the house today so that’s a nice treat!

As I was reading some of my regular blogs yesterday I came across a link to this recipe and knew right away I had to make it ASAP! As I mentioned in my last pregnancy update post I’ve been making a conscious effort to eat less velveeta (read less, not none? I had some yesterday at dinner) and more nutrient dense foods. So behold, chocolate chip dessert hummus!

It was literally so easy…

The hardest part was cleaning out the food processor ;-) In other breaking news, I think we decided on some bedding for our sweet baby girl’s room! It’s completely cliche and I’m sure a billion other nurseries look exactly like this and I couldn’t care less. I love it.

I still have the giraffe print wall I painted for Noah so I’m going to incorporate little animals as well! It feels good to check stuff (ok, one thing) off the baby to do list!

Enjoy your Tuesday!

1. What’s the best dessert you’ve had lately?

awww I love that bedding – so girlie and cute!! And I am glad you loved (depsite the pants situation) BP88 – I love triceps!! My commute to work is about 45 minutes including dropping Luke off at daycare. I use the time to listen to audiobooks!!

I am terrified to try body pump! It’s not because of your pants (though it’s great you survived that, hah), everyone just talks about HUNDREDS of squats and I’m quite sure I would drop dead.

The best dessert I’ve had recently is by FAR brownies and ice cream. But I think that considering I’ve been eating hummus nonstop lately that dessert one would probably give my brownies a run for their money. ;)

Love the crib sheets. So fun! I’m reading the Book Theif right now and really loving it!

Oh no… your pants! Did you have a jacket to tie around your waist after that happened? I love the baby’s bedding. So sweet!

Saturday night I made dark chocolate fudge brownies (from a box) and added mint chips. They were delicious!!!

I train my clients in my basement gym, so I’ve got a great commute! ;-)

I think I’ll have to give that chocolate chip hummus recipe a try! I had cake on Saturday night for my Grandpa’s birthday with my Grandma’s special homemade chocolate frosting – it’s so amazing! Recently I read Caught by Harlan Coben and The Art of Hearing Heartbeats (can’t remember the author!) and really liked both of those.

Sorry about your pants! I hate ripping or ruining workout clothes in general, usually that stuff is expensive! The best dessert I’ve had lately is not really a dessert – I had a nutella latte in DC last weekend was amazing! Sweet and creamy! My commute to work is SO easy – it usually only takes me 10 minutes, and I have time usually to run home at lunch and let the dog out so she doesn’t pee on the floor :) My favorite book to this day? I still think The Help. I could not put that one down!

Oh my goodness…I would have been mortified! I’m sure you handled the ripping incident with more grace than I would! I LOVE that bedding. Who cares if it’s cliche…maybe they’re just all copying your taste. ;-)

The best dessert that I had lately was definitely the homemade fudge that I made a couple of weeks ago. So good! I work from home so I don’t have to commute at all, which is way nice. You have probably read this book already but I loved reading “The Help”. The movie is great, but the books adds more detail. I have also been reading some pregnancy books, but I’m sure you are reading some of those as well ha.
