Blogiversary, a typical Tuesday, and a good article.

by Elizabeth on December 4, 2013

First things first, happy birthday to my blog!!! A year ago I decided to start this blog in hopes of helping people and sharing some things I’ve learned on this journey. Little did I know how much I would also enjoy learning from and connecting with YOU. Thanks so much for reading and sharing this with me! Now go eat some cake to celebrate.
This morning I got to run with a friend as opposed to going solo like I have been lately! I forgot how much I miss running buddies We did an easy 4 miles but I was tired at the end.
Yesterday I took Noah to a park we hadn’t been to before. Aren’t the fall colors gorgeous… Thanks Texas.

I attempted to use some more of our thanksgiving leftovers and mixed sweet potatoes, black beans, salsa, sour cream and other seasonings. Noah inhaled it almost faster than I did. I love being able to use leftovers. Minimal dish washing doesn’t hurt either.

I recorded The Santa Claus the night before on ABCs 25 days of Christmas so our night finished watching that and drinking some hot chocolate.

A friend of mine shared this with me and I thought it was so interesting and true. I remember a while back my therapist told me the majority of people who die from eating disorders aren’t the 60 pound hospital goers like you would think, it’s more often people who are not severely underweight but remain there chronically. No one should die from eating disorders! Ever!!!

She’s not that skinny, is she?

Instead of ending on a somber note though, please take a minute pray (if you are a praying person) for all those who are affected! There is SO MUCH hope :-)

1. What’s on your Wednesday agenda?
2. What’s your favorite thing to do with Thanksgiving leftovers?

Having recovered from an eating disorder myself (my store is on my blog if you would like to read it) I can tell you first hand just how scary it really is. I’m so thankful that I woke up and sought treatment before I did permanent and lasting damage to my body and psyche.

Happy Blogiversary!

Happy Blog Birthday! I find that really interesting about the eating disorder, having my own disorder I agree with what was said.
Today I work all day and have a great workout on the agenda!
I didn’t have any Thanksgiving leftovers this year but I typically love just eating the turkey with a little salsa!

Happy Blogiversary! I’m so glad I found your blog, and I’ll be eating a donut later for you :) Today is my last day of undergrad classes ever! Taking a few breaks, going part-time for a year, and changing majors about 5 times has made this ride extra long, but better to graduate late than never! Noah is super cute and I love the movie The Santa Claus :)

Happy 1st birthday to your blog!! Very exciting!! :) I read that article and it is so unfortunate that this happened. I, myself suffer from an ED which I will deal with for the rest of my life. I understand how hard it is. No one should die from an ED.

What a great article! Too many girls and young women suffer from an eating disorder. I stumbled upon a site last night that I thought was so awesome: if that doesn’t work then it can be googled. A lot of the time it boils down to low self esteem and a horrible self image. “Hollywood” sure doesn’t help either.
