Party Time!

by Elizabeth on November 19, 2013

It feels so good to finally be able to be 100% open with you about what’s going on everyday! I almost felt like I was living a lie for the past two months. Between eating velveeta cheese straight off the block (SO delicious) and consuming my body weight in war heads I thought for sure people would catch on! Anyway, I definitely plan on sharing all (well not all, that’d be way TMI ha) of the early pregnancy details with you and just so you know, everything is looking great so far. I’m almost 14 weeks :-) Here is the little nugget back at 11 weeks!

Today I wanted to show you a little of what took place Saturday? welcome to Noah’s Firetruck Birthday Party!

I almost considered canceling it after this:

But luckily 2 year old’s have about a three second memory. I found a fire truck cake step by step (actually my mom found it) and decided to try my hand at that. The back up plan was a dalmatian cake. Fortunately, both came out beautifully if I do say so myself.

There were lots of other fun fire fighter themed foods to snack on as well!

Picture within a picture. I think it’s cool!

My two favorite people!

Oh ya know, just putting out all the neighborhood fires (P.S. my mom handmade those trucks for all the kiddos!)

Birthday boy.

Noah and his cousins had a blast with (wouldn’t you know it) cardboard boxes ;-)

Thank you to everyone who came and shared the day with us! It meant so much to us. Have a great day!

Questions (completely random, just go with it) :

1. What’s your favorite brand of shampoo/conditioner?

2. What’s on your Christmas wish list?

3. Favorite kind of pie?

I am wishing for a new camera and a new watch!
Not really a pie fan, but if I have to choose it would have to be pumpkin.

Such a cute party! Way to stay on theme! And I’m very impressed by your firetruck cake, although I wouldn’t expect any less from the dessert queen.

Haha no that was from Halloween! Our neighborhood did a little parade with the firemen. It was all fun and games until Noah hated it…

Eeee! I’m so excited for you! I have super fine hair and a lot of it, but I still haven’t found a shampoo I love… It’s so hard to find one which doesn’t a.) weigh down my hair b.) make it look greasy c.) dry it out. Ooof.
My Christmas wish list is all about yoga pants and comfy clothing this year. Ha!
I’m not a BIG pie person, but I love a chocolate shoo-fly or coconut cream!

That looks like so much fun!! Great job with the cakes!

Fave shampoo – Suave. Wish list – wireless earbuds. Favorite pie – my aunt’s Swedish apple pie. We’re making 3 of them and 3 ricotta pies too, to bring with us to people’s houses, plus leave leftovers at their request! LOL

Such a cute and creative theme for the party! I love the names you came up with for the candy bar.
With such a big sweet tooth its hard for me to choose just one favorite pie. I would go with pumpkin, apple, or pecan. A la mode of course : )

What a cute party!! Everything looks so good!
My fave shampoo is Tresseme right now. But usually I just use whatever is the cheapest :-/
my favorite pie is razzleberry (mixed berry) a la mode from Marie Calendar’s. I made one very similar not too long ago and it was so good!

Cute party! Everything looked great! And congrats on baby #2!
My favorite Shampoo/Conditioner is Bumble and Bumble- pricey so it is only a every now and then purchase!
I love pumpkin pie-but do not like the crust! My husband always rolls his eyes when I eat just the filling with whipped cream :)

Congrats on your great news! Great ideas for the trucks! I will have to make one for my son. For Halloween he wanted to be a tractor so I made him a bulldozer costume out of a cardboard box. He loved it and is still playing with it!
