Coming in November…

by Elizabeth on November 1, 2013

Is anyone else pumped its November?! The holidays are coming, we are leaving for a family trip to Brazil in a few days, Noah and I have November birthdays… Oh, and did I mention salted caramel cupcakes are at Sprinkles this month??? Yep, I’m pumped!

How was your Halloween? It poured here until 2 pm so we weren’t even sure all of the festivities we had planned would take place but luckily it cleared up and the weather was perfect.

My nieces and nephews came over for a bit to take part in a little parade out neighborhood put on.

It was led by a fire truck so I knew the boys would be excited (and I was excited for them!) Unfortunately, fire trucks are only cool in theory or from a distance. Noah was terrified!

As soon as we were a little farther away he was fine. Next, our cul de sac put on a block party with food, drinks, and lots of awesome costumes. We have some pretty awesome neighbors!

And the sunset was perfect.

Finally it was time for trick-or-treating! Noah had it DOWN. He got tons of compliments on his costume and probably walked a good mile getting candy before he quit! I think he’s going to be sad we don’t trick-or-treat every night now! We sorted the candy and oddly enough I was eating sour patch kids and war heads while Noah ODed on twix. Who am I???

Who remembers war heads from way back in the day?

When’s your birthday?

What’s your favorite sour candy?

I’m so excited for the holidays, too! Haha I’m so looking forward to all the delicious holiday food.

I loved warheads and all kinds of sour candies as a kid. Now, not so much. I prefer the chocolate!

It poured here until 5-6pm in Columbus, OH, so I hope that the kids got a chance to go trick-or-treating. It sounds like your family had an absolute blast, though!

Lol I couldn’t help but laugh at that picture of Noah and the kids on the fire truck — that’s exactly how I looked whenever they made me sit on Santa’s lap.

And our area is so boring when it comes to Halloween — there were barely any kids out last night!!

I love his golfer costume! I was a golfer in high school and I would dress up as a golfer all the time for Halloween! Sounds like you live in a pretty cool neighborhood! LOVE warheads! The mystery one was great! My birthday is March 30! I love sour patch kids! Have a great weekend!

Beautiful sunset! Noah’s costume is super cute by the way- probably the best little boy’s costume I saw this year. I’m not a fan of sour/gummy candy at all, but I do love me some Starbursts every now and then :) Chocolate for me all the way! My birthday is January 9. I always hated it. Living in NW Indiana we’d get tons of lake effect snow (our town was about 20 minutes from Lake Michigan) so my birthday parties would typically get snowed out, haha.

I remember War Heads! They were so good at the time, but I don’t think I could enjoy that these days.
Best sour candy… probably Sour Patch Kids.
Looks like you had a wonderful Halloween with the neighbors!

I used to love war heads! I also loved the sour strings or something like that. Sour patch kids are amazing too. I remember eating so many when I was little that I would get sores in my mouth. Oops! I love Noah’s costume, so cute!!

Poor Noah! Haha that little cry is so sad :(
But he is just too adorable. And that sunset is amazing!

We would totally have warhead wars when I was in junior high to see who could eat the most at the same time. Hurts my cheeks just thinking about it!
