Fall Facts Friday

by Elizabeth on September 6, 2013

We’ve all seen the Fun Facts Friday posts, so I figured I’d switch it up and do Fall Facts, even if the heat index is still over 100 most days ;-) Hey, we can dream right?

1. Although there are no signs of fall in Houston, we’re just one week away from the Healthy Living Summit in Minnesota! I can’t wait to see what it’s like there! I got a package in the mail yesterday and it appears I’m officially a blogger.

2. I ran out of my pumpkin creamer so had to make do with pumpkin pie spice and sweet n low. My advice: don’t run out of coffee creamer/buy it in bulk? coffee is just not the same without it. The Matilda cup was courtesy of my little sister. There’s a newt on the back which makes it that much more awesome.

3. For day 6 of Fabulous Fall Food (humor me on this one?) my house was just not smelling that great yesterday and I had several things pinned for making your home smell like fall. I had all the ingredients and decided to boil: oranges, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla in a big pan. It was amazing until the pan ran out of water and then the house just smelled like I set it on fire in October.

4. Did you know how many awesome fall candies there are?

Today’s agenda includes yoga, a walk, QT with my main little squeeze, and a girls’ night! Make it a great day!

Are you a Matilda lover*?

-*definition of Matilda lover: you can recite the entire movie forward and backward.

Choose one of the candies from above that you would eat today.

I LOVE Matilda. My son does too now. He always asks to make pancakes after watching and read a book! so awesome!
Candy corn makes fall the best! Haven’t tried and m & ms

2 Sarah @ Chocolate and Pavement September 6, 2013 at 5:55 am

I LOVE Matilda, but not sure I could recite the entire thing. I do think that it’s one of those movies that you watch and suddenly find yourself quoting while wondering where the heck it came from.

I giggled to myself thinking about you boiling all of those delicious smelling things and having the water run out. I also promise that I only giggled because I would do the exact same thing.

Reeses anything is my jam, but I’m totally intrigued by those pumpkin kisses! Happy Friday!

I would definitely eat the Reeses…no contest. And, I’m so jealous that you’re going to the healthy living summit! I can’t wait to read your recap(s).

Pumpkin spice Hersey kisses!! I had no idea! I have never seen the M&M white chocolate candy corn or the Caramel Apple Milky Way. I don’t know what I’m doing with my life! I think my favorite candy to give away on Halloween (read: buy for trick-or-treaters and end up eating all of before Halloween actually happens) is Snicker’s Squares. If you’ve never tried them you should. Immediately.

Haha, I tried that how to make your house smell like Fall thing, but thankfully I didn’t let the water burn out;)
I’m SO excited for Fall, it’s a little crazy how obsessed I am with it.
And Matilda was probably one of my top 5 favorite movies when I was a kid. I remember when I nannied, I secretly loved when they watched it. I’d say I’m a fan for that reason.
