Scenes from the weekend.

Who is off today?! Joe is and last night Noah spent the night with his Grandma so we did crazy things like eat dinner on the couch and nap yesterday afternoon? Backing up to Saturday, you know we had to party for the first A&M football game of the season!

With lots of amazing food.

Yesterday we went up to College Station to have lunch with my sister for her 21st birthday! We tried a place called Napa Flatts and it was great! It’s always so much fun to get to hang out with family.

Joe and I split a pizza and he and Noah split mac and cheese.

Stayed tuned for the fall recipe of the day later this afternoon! Enjoy your Labor Day!

Questions:

Tell me what you’ve been running lately (I’m starting to miss it)..

Do your kids ever go away overnight? It feels so strange not to wake up with Noah!

I’m heading into the last couple of weeks before my marathon. So this weekend was my highest mileage and now I’m going to start to taper off. I can’t wait, because honestly I need a little running break haha
Fun times with your family! Can’t wait for the next recipe!

For my running…I have just under 7 weeks to go till my marathn. Friday I did an 18 mile run(7:42 pace). So far my training has been going really good and on track so I am praying it keeps going this well. I am really hoping for a big PR.
Keep up your hard work…you are doing great and your running will come again.
We moved away from family about 4 yaers ago. Before we moved we used to only leave our kids to go on dates every once in awhile. Since we moved though we have brought them to visit and left them with family a few times for a whole week. It definitely feels weird…but they love it!!!

I got up and ran 5 miles this morning. I am proud of myself for just getting it done right of the bat. I am training for my first 10-miler in October and am getting really excited. I am glad your weekend is going well so far!

I’m not running right now either – I had an 11 miler on the schedule this week and a 10 miler last week, but both my knees hurt so badly I can’t even run 1 mile without having to walk. Not good.
On a more positive note, that picture of Connor and Claire made my morning – adorable!

All I have to say is that I ate 4 of those brownies (BAD!) and that mac and cheese looks amazing.

Looks like you guys are having a blast! I’ve only been running as a warmup on the treadmill, haha. I’m not the biggest fan of running, but I’m trying to give it a chance!

My run this morning was 3 miles followed by stadium stairs. Perfect way to kick off FSU gameday! Also, I am thrilled for all of your fall recipes!

You guys had a nice little win to celebrate on Saturday! Our opening game was against #1 Alabama and our results weren’t so good! Oh well, at least our defense looked great! :-)

I ran 14 on Saturday, but now I’ll taper for the Hokie Half in a couple of weeks. After that my next race is a Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot…

I was going to do a long run yesterday, but wasn’t feeling it and only went 7.6 miles. I’m probably going to do my long run on Friday this week, when it finally cools down!
