I really need better cleaning habits.

Good morning! We are off to Noah’s “Meet the Teacher” for his MDO he’s starting next Wednesday. Expect to be bombarded with his gelled hair, button up shirt pictures shortly.

Today marks one week of sticking to my decision not to run. Many park trips have been made during the days just to get out of the house and stay sane :-) I’m going to be 100% honest here? the not running isn’t all that hard. It’s the eating more on top of not running that is truly my challenge. I believe that prayers are answered though so if you are a praying person shoot one up for me ;-) TIA!

Yesterday I my sister in law brought us chic fil a and we had a picnic at the park with her and my nephew. We decided this would become a Thursday afternoon tradition.

I know I haven’t shared many recipes with you this week but that will soon be changing. I’m planning to do a 30 Days of Fall Foods starting September 1st so am getting a head start on that! I can however show you some things I’ve been enjoying after dinner.

Noah is the cutest! I love the way you dress him!! And I’m proud of you for staying honest about not running and struggles you have. It’s so refreshing in a world that tries to only show it’s fa├žade.

This weekend we are camping with friends!! I’m super excited because I love camping plus it’ll be the first time we all hang out with our husbands outside of work! On Saturday, we’re going tubing down the river and hopefully walking into this cute little town. They have the best little ice cream shop!

And on Sunday, I’m hosting my sister’s bachelorette! Just a week until my little sister is a Mrs.!!

Good job sticking with your running and eating changes! I’m really looking forward to 30 Days of Fall Foods!! Fall food is my favorite! I will be making blueberry doughnuts this weekend for the first time. I worry that purchasing a doughnut pan was a bad decision; if they turn out good I may become a doughnut making machine. Have a great weekend!

Noah is such a cutie! You can’t really go wrong with park days. And those caramels look amazing!

We have a five hour drive ahead of us tonight for our trip to VT. I’m hoping the weather doesn’t ruin our plans for hiking and kayaking and going to the local county fair! BOOOO!

I hear you on the eating when not running being a challenge and scary. You’re doing great so far!

I love the Russell Stover nuggets or turtles (can’t remember what they’re called). They sell them here wrapped in university logo wrappers. We always have them for our football parties!

Mmm…I can’t wait for fall food and lattes (<–had to throw that in there!). I thought the title of this post was going to relate to housework then I was going to say "yay!" haha kidding. Kind of. Ok, I'll just go and start cleaning my house for the day then… haha

You know how when you are running, and you want to stop and sit on the curb, but you never do, you just embrace the suck.
That is what got my anxiety to lose its grip. I put myself in anxious situations (mine deal with food too) and just embraced the suck. It took a lot of positive self talk, no different than when you are running. Low and behold years after first committing to that, I would not even call myself an anxious person anymore.
Prayers for you this is not an easy journey but you have the courage. You got this!

One thing that I did that helped me to gain weight without too much anxiety was eating a bowl of oatmeal before bed each night and eating lots and lots of peanut butter (a jar a week baby!) :) Those foods did not make me feel “too full” and though I was able to quickly gain weight, it did not make me feel bloated, stuck in another body, or any of the weird feelings that can come with weight gain. And, you are in my prayers!

I TOTALLY know exactly what you’re feeling with the whole no exercise + more food thing. That was the hardest thing for me…in fact, I still struggle with it. I’m ok when I have to eat more as long as I can exercise, and I’m ok not exercising as long as I can eat less. Ah…but, that’s not the life I want to live for forever, so I’m sucking it up with ya girlfriend!
