Lots of cake in my future and I think I need to start a pinners anonymous group.

by Elizabeth on July 23, 2013

Good morning! It’s hard to believe we are headed into the last week of July! We have several family birthdays before the end of the month? Joe’s, my mother in law’s, my sister’s, and my niece’s!

I see cake in my future ;-)

Yesterday I began with one of my favorite activities while Noah ate his breakfast? Scrapbooking! It almost has the same effect as running or chocolate in that it makes me instantly happy to create something I know someone else will love.

We packed up after breakfast and went for a walk with a friend. Oh? and she also turns ONE tomorrow! More cake for me I guess…

I found this recipe on Pinterest and I have to say, it might be the best sandwich I’ve ever had! The one I pinned actually used crunchy peanut butter and marshmallow cream for a total of 9 different flavor combinations? I was happy with 4! Regular and chocolate peanut butter, honey, and strawberry jelly! I’m telling you, you need to try this!!!

For dinner we went to my in-law’s since my father in law leaves for his rotation in Brazil today! It was one of the fist times we had all 5 cousins together at the same time. The three that are old enough to run around make the place a little crazy. I can’t imagine fast forwarding three years from now and they are ALL energetic toddlers! Claire was ten weeks yesterday and Connor was two weeks!

I went about 9 months without using Pinterest but I am back on my A game pinning away? I give you my pinterest inspired hair.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

Questions:

1. What’s the best thing you’ve pinned on Pinterest lately?

2. When is your birthday?

I love the braided hair! I almost exclusively use Pinterest for food. Sometimes I will check out the DIY stuff, but usually end up going back to looking at food. It really is such a great network to share all these things.

I have a January birthday, so I don’t think there’s any cake in my immediate future.

I was addicted to pinterest when I was planning my daughter’s first birthday. Probably the adorable lace crowns I pinned and made were my favorite so far…..oh, and of course her homeade pink ombre cake =).

My bday is in January. I bit too close to Christmas for my liking. All the present in one time of the year.

Is that a skirt you have on? The black/white stripes – where is it from? SUPER cute and love the hair!

Nutella Cinnamon rolls! They seriously took five minutes to put together (use can of crescent rolls, spread nutella and sprinkle cinnamon, roll, cut into 8 and bake according to crescent roll instructions). There was also an icing recipe for it, but that I don’t remember quite as well – something along the lines of conf. sugar, milk, and vanilla. YUMMMMMY!

September 4. :)

Um, I love you hair!! I’m so hair-challenged — I’m lucky that i can blow dry it and pull it up into a ponytail!! I guess I missed that “girl” gene — I would love to be able to make my hair look all cute :)

Lately I’ve been pinning activities/games for teaching social skills to my students … I need some fresh ideas because I’m really feeling tapped out! And my birthday is May 7th — I think it’s the best day of the year! :D

Your scrapbook pages are gorgeous! I tried scrapbooking but just started making photo books on Snapfish instead. :) Sounds like you have a great week ahead of you. (And any week where you get to have cake on multiple occasions counts as an awesome week in my book.) I found some pretty great inspirational quotes on Pinterest this morning to keep me motivated for my daily runs. Definitely a great find.

I always pin food in Pinterest.. I used to use it a LOT for wedding stuff, though! We had a couple cute things at our wedding showers/ rehearsal dinner/ reception from Pinterest :) I’ll do a post on them one of these days.

I really want to try the cauliflower crust pizza from Pinterest! I did the baked cauliflower “poppers” and they were so good! I’ve done a few casseroles from there too, I think.

My birthday is in May… But my MIL’s birthday is in August, and my mom and sister’s birthdays are in early September! So we have a few coming up, too :) YAY, cake! :)

I’ve been pinning inspirational quotes lately. Oh, and I have a pair of chairs that I am about to sand down and repaint, so I’ve been pinning inspiration furniture for that. When I get married, I’m going to be all over Pinterest.

My birthday’s in March! Best month ever!

I love scrapbooking, I am such a nerd about it! I get super pumped getting Michaels, and Joann Fabrics coupons in the mail because I know right what they will be used for :)

Pinning is so addictive– lately it has been helping me with my hair. I am in the process of growing my hair out and struggling to keep it out of my face and off my neck in this heat—enter a million and one ideas online and it’s much easier!

My birthday is September 4th! :)

That’s such a sweet idea to make a scrapbook for a friend, I love that idea. And I’m a total scrapbook lover, I think it’s the organization part I love about it.
Pinterest and I have a love/hate relationship. There’s just so many great pins out there that I always pin, but never do. I should probably organize that thing, so it’s less overwhelming.

There was an e-card (that I found on Pinterest) that states Pinterest is just like electronic hoarding…and I have to agree. The number of recipes I have on there is…a little embarassing haha. I am oky with that though.
I have been LOVING peanut butter sandwiches lately. My favorite combo to date has been 1/2 chocolate peanut butter and the other 1/2 white chocolate peanut butter.

Your hair looks adorable! I’m going to have to add that to my hair repertoire (a 3 styles ;-) ). Maybe it’s just me, but I find it so much easier to (french) braid my own hair rather than someone else’s.

I also go a while without pinning…then WOAH! Watch out, I turn into a pinning machine!

Can’t wait to hear about all the yummy cake you get to have!

Wow I love your hair! I wish I could braid, That’s the problem growing up with super short hair I never had hair to braid as a little girl. Now that I have long hair I have no idea what to do with it!

It seems in my family that birthdays seem to happen about the same time, which means lots of cake and good food! I love Pinterest! I use it for fun, but also to plan our meals each week, makes life easier when everything is in one place.
