Congrats Stefanie!!! Email me at [email protected] and I’ll get those shipped to you! Thanks to all who entered!

In honor of this week being our three year anniversary and the fact that I have never given you a honeymoon recap? here ya go! We spent 8 days in the Sandals resort in St. John, Antigua! The Sunday after our wedding we flew to Miami then to Puerto Rico. We had a long layover so left the airport to watch the World Cup that was on in a local restaurant. Nothing like getting to bed at 2 am and up at 3:30 am for your flight to make an awesome picture later in the day. Oh hey wedding jewelry (I had a hard time letting that day go so I kept right on wearing it?)

When we FINALLY got to our resort we were super impressed.

The water was perfectly clear and beautiful!

We spent the first day exploring the resort.

Since it was all-inclusive, we made sure to try everything and often ordered a few different items to sample.

Most mornings we went for a quick run. Since we didn’t have a car it was an awesome way to see more of the island than we would have otherwise!

Some of our excursions were snorkeling, zip-lining, a catamaran ride to a pink sand beach, jet skiing, and dinner cruises.

This was at the “pink” sand beach. There were tiny pink rocks in the sand but I was imagining like a bubble gum colored ground…

It was by far the most amazing vacation I have ever been on. With the most amazing person I know. I keep asking Joe to take me back but this whole having a job/a kid/adult world thing is really putting a damper on the plans. One day :-)

Pros:

  • It was all-inclusive so we didn’t have to worry about anything… EVER!
  • It was the most gorgeous and fun vacation I’ve ever had
  • It’s right on the beach
  • The food was really good and the staff was friendly!
  • There were lots of excursions you could choose to go on
  • The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean.

Cons:

  • It took all day to get there…
  • The locals informed us we could do things much more cheaply by not booking through the resort. Basically it’s expensive.
  • I think that’s it. I want to go back!

And there you have it! These three years have been a crazy ride? I can only imagine what the next 60 hold!

Questions:

Tell me about your honeymoon/dream honeymoon!!!!!!

OMG. You two are adorable. I looooove it!

Also, although it’s cheaper not to book through a resort, it is usually safer to stay within a resort.

I LOVE all your bikinis and dresses….where do you shop? Is that weird? lol

xoxo Lauren

Not weird at all! I got the swim suits from Victoria’s Secret and the dresses probably came from forever 21!

@Lauren, it’s not weird … I was wondering about the cute outfits, too!

Great honeymoon recap

Dream honeymoon is to go to one of those bungalow type places on the beach. I saw a floating suite on the water in one of the seasons of “The Bachelor” and I’ve wanted to go to one of those for my honeymoon ever since. I have no idea where to find it though…I think they might have been in Bali. Your pics are gorgeous!

I love your honeymoon pictures!! I look at mine all the time and wish we could go back right now!

We spent 6 days in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic! It was BEYOND gorgeous- all inclusive, so we ate and drank A LOT. I finished 4 books while reading in our cabana and on the beach. It was so beautiful and relaxing knowing we didn’t have anywhere to go or anything to do. I wish I had run along the beach (I even brought running stuff!) but oh well- next time :)

I am researching honeymoon options now but have no idea what we will decide. We are both fairly adventurous so we are definitely looking for something off the beaten path but everytime I see how easy an all exclusive resort is I wonder if we should reconsider ;)

Congrats on 3 years…..and here is to another 77! =)

I haven’t done a Sandals, but kind of want to. I have heard it can be pricey though, but….sometimes, you just don’t want to worry about any details!

Wow you are so incredibly gorgeous!!

Looks like an amazing trip! I’ve never done anything like that! We were poor college students when we got married and decided to buy a house over a big honeymoon. A good choice, but I’ve had to wait for my big trip!

Your rings are GORGEOUS!! Hubby and my wedding bands also say “forever” in them. Love the touch!!Gah, I want to travel more too!! But with the amount of time I’d want to be gone on vacation, I don’t think my hubby would have a job by the time we got back! haha

Looks beautiful!

We went to an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, and I absolutely LOVED it. Definitely the best vacation I’ve ever been on with my most favorite person in the whole world. :)

Oh my goodness! This makes me want to go to the beach! And you look so happy!!!

We just got back from our honeymoon 1 month ago and I could go back now…

We went to Barcelona, a beach on Spain’s coast, Avignon in he south of France, Paris and London… Where we had another ceremony with his family, he’s from the UK. It was amazing! And so fun… I think I need a second honeymoon…
