A wonderful 3 year anniversary!

by Elizabeth on July 11, 2013

Thanks for all the well-wishes yesterday for our anniversary!!! We had an amazing day. Before I show you more pictures than you ever cared to see from yesterday, I just wanted to remind you today is the last day to enter the GIVEAWAY! There aren’t too many entries so your chances of winning are high :-)

Also, please read this story and take a minute to pray or contribute!!! This sweet little girl needs our help!

Backing up to yesterday? it was an incredible day. We had several errands to do in the morning so I made sure to be well fueled with wedding cake! So far I have managed to get one every anniversary and I don’t plan on stopping that tradition anytime soon!

Two things I can’t get enough of lately:

I add it to my water and it’s SO GOOD! And have you ever seen a more perfect candy jar than this? I didn’t think so.

ImageProxy mvc

We had to run to the mall to pick up a few things and these days we don’t get out of there without a stop at the play yard :-)

Instead of using the slide, Noah preferred to jump off the steps. The kid’s obsessed with jumping.

I met Joe for dinner at Eddie V’s. He started with crab and lobster bisque. He always tells me my desserts are too rich for him and I couldn’t comprehend what he meant until I tried this soup. Super creamy and rich! He loved it though.

I ordered Ahi tuna (I think I prefer small slices rather than a thick steak), and Joe ordered filet and scallops! That boat of brussels sprouts in the background didn’t stand a chance.

For dessert we split bananas foster. By split I mean I let Joe have 1/2 a bite of the cake and made him eat the ice cream. Selflessness comes easily for me.

Questions:

1. Moms, are your kids in love with parks/play yards?

2. What’s your favorite water enhancer/beverage of choice?

3. Tell me about a really memorable anniversary you had!

Happy Anniversary!
Looks like an incredible day!
And the candy jar filled with chocolate is kind of my dream. I heart chocolate.
Off to read the story of that little girl and send my prayers.

I love the raspberry lemonade Crystal Light, but I try not to buy it too often because of the artificial sweeteners. I may have to check out the stuff you love so much!

I really am boring, I pretty much only drink milk or water. Sometimes I get crazy and drink the naked green machine juice, but that’s seriously it.

My kids are in love with the outdoors in general. They’ll play anywhere and find dirt anywhere. Seriously. We were at my husband’s bike race on the 4th of july and they spent half the time playing in a tiny little spot of dirt in a sidewalk crack. Nasty. But they had fun.

My most memorable anniversary was probably my 3rd. I spent it in the hospital having given birth to my first child the day before. Every anniversary since then has been what we call the perfect storm weekend – Tyler’s birthday, our anniversary and mothers day all in the same week.

We got married in April of this year… so we haven’t had an anniversary yet. I’m planning to get a cute little cupcake in October for the 6 month mark. It just so happens that the weekend before our 6 month milestone, we’re running a half marathon together :) SO our actual weekend will probably be spent on the couch, eating cupcakes and drinking mimosas without ever getting out of pajamas.

That sounds like my favorite thing ever! :)

PS- I just drink my water pure… I don’t add anything to it yet. I’m not fancy I guess. :)

It sounds like you had a very nice anniversary! We buy a little white wedding cake every years for our anniversary, too!

I like adding Nuun to my water sometimes, but I prefer straight water!

Dove Chocolate is where it’s at! My faves are the dark chocolate. I LOVE the wild strawberry or berry pomegranate crystal light flavors. I drink them WAY too much. I know, artificial sweeteners, but whatevs….it’s better than lots of soda, right? Don’t answer that. :-) Glad you had a good anniversary!

SO glad you guys had a good Anniversary! I’m an Ahi Tuna small stips kind of girl, too. Don’t like it when it’s a thick steak. YUM your Bananas Foster dessert sounds amazing!

The blueberry lemonade Mio is some good stuff. I am pretty much obsessed with it right now!!

My kids are 8 and 5 so our days at the mall playground are numbered but for MANY years, I couldn’t make a trip without letting them stop to play!!

Happy Anniversary! My fav water enhancer is either NUUN all day with caffeine or crystal light grape flavor packet because it has B12 in it and doesn’t make you crash at the end of the day.
