Game time

by Elizabeth on June 25, 2013

Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a good start! Yesterday I did a 7 mile easy run before Noah and I headed out to do some ridiculously unproductive errands?. as in going to SAMS only to find out our membership expired in April, then to Babies R Us to use a store credit that was also expired. Ah well, some days are just like that I guess. And it wasn’t TOTALLY unproductive. Thanks to a stop at my other favorite store: Big Lots.

My thinking was, “These will be perfect for Joe’s lunches!” But who are we kidding, they will be gone in a week and Joe will never even know I had them. I was pretty hungry when I got home (repeat picture) so I made a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich and some carrot sticks.

After Noah napped we played in his castle for a while. His favorite game is when we pretend he is king and I am the royal servant. I get him everything he wants? milk, popsicles, crackers, balls, and help him down the slide.

Oh wait, that isn’t a game. It’s real life.

For dinner I made some AMAZING meatballs! I used a pound of ground meat, two eggs, about a half of a cup of Italian bread crumbs along with seasoned salt, garlic salt, and red pepper. Served with alfredo rice and a salad with bleu cheese.

We finished our night with a walk and Russel Stover. Love that man almost as much as my other two ;-)

Questions:

1. Are you more of a cupcake/cake, ice cream, cookie, or candy person?

I go through stages. Sometimes I am majorly a cake and cookie lover but recently I’m on a chocolate candy kick.

2. Do you make up or follow recipes?

I always make them up? I can’t even remember the last time I followed one!

Anything chocolate is what I love…except chocolate ice cream. Strange. I do like to cook and follow recipes! Sounds like y’all had a fun day! :0)

ICE CREAM!!!! I am a total and complete ice cream lover :)! I like to sometimes combine a couple of recipes and use the comments people say to add or take away ingredients :)…I am not a very good cook though….

Hahaha! Want to come play “royal servant” at my house? He is such a cutie, though, how could you NOT give him all he wants?

Cookie and candy- I don’t like frosting so no to cupcakes and cake.

I’m always jealous of seeing bloggers throw random things together to make dinner and it looks amazing. I’m a recipe follower 99% of the time.

Chocolate all the way!! Froyo is always good too

It depends on what I’m cooking. If I can make it up as I go, I’d prefer to do that.

I’m more of a brownie or cookie girl. Something chocolatey and gooey! And I usually follow a recipe and add my own stuff- so a little bit of both!

Your sandwich looks amazing… I was craving a sandwich earlier!

Those cosmic brownies remind me of childhood. I used to love them as a kid! I always picked the little colorful bits off and ate those first though.

Sorry your shopping trips didn’t go as planed with sams and babies r us :(. Big Lots is pretty awesome though, you never know what you’ll find there!

I’m more of a cookie CAKE person. I think cookie cake is literally the best dessert ever created.

Follow recipes for foods that I’ve never cooked. Once I know what I’m doing (or if I make something that I’ve grown up eating) , I never follow the recipe.

Chewy and gummy candy are my favorites! Gummy bears, Twizzlers, Swedish Fish, Mike & Ike’s are all my favorites!! I mean, I like it all but those are the sweets I am most drawn to.

As for recipes, I usually follow one the first couple times I make a dish but then I start mixing it up and adapting it to make it my own!!

Noah’s got you right where he wants you, and he’s a lucky little dude!

I will always pick ice cream over any other dessert! :-)

I am a sugar person, so I can’t decide between those choices! But if I had to, then I’d say ice cream (since its summer). On top of cake. With a cookie on the side. :)

I am an ice cream person for sure. Also I usually will find like 3 recipes and combine the parts I like best into my dish. So I kind of create my own but not really.

I agree I go through stages with desserts/sweets. One day it may be all about cookies, then next ice cream. But it is a slippery slope!

Happy Tuesday! I am a anything & everything dark chocolate gal, more often than not, straight chocolate does the trick. Sometimes, I like to have it in the form of a cookie or brownie. I like to make up recipes when it comes to entrees, but usually follow recipes for baked goods!

Definitely a cookie girl… With frosting! Don’t like candy at all and don’t really like icecream either! And no I’m sorry I don’t think you will ever be able to change me on this one…. I will let you keep having all of the candy in the world… But feel free to send me all of your cookie cake and cake balls! :-)

I LOVE milkshakes.
I LOVE vanilla ice cream with wine drizzled on top.
I LOVE gooey cookies right out of the oven.

As for recipe’s, I usually look at one for an idea, grab the ingredients, disreguard the recipe, and make it my own way :)

I am currently in an ice cream/fro yo stage. It’s all I want! I tend to follow a recipe the first time I make something then wing it after that…and always regret not following the recipe each time lol
