First of all…

by Elizabeth on May 18, 2013

how is my baby 18 months today??? Not cool. Don’t even talk to me about him turning two, going to kindergarten, his first date, or going off to college. We won’t be friends for very much longer. I told him today he’s not allowed to get any older! I’m glad we’re on the same page now.

We had a pretty low key Friday. I ran and finished my third week of Crossfit! Still loving it but I’ll refrain from going into a thousand details so you don’t think I’ve joined the cult (even though I’m slightly addicted.) Random but every day I ran this week I got attacked in the exact same spot by what I swear is a killer bird. He flies at my head and it scares the living daylights out of me every time! I must be quite the spectacle for people driving by seeing me swatting away a bird.

Dinner was tilapia, vegetables, and pasta (this is an old picture so use your imagination and pretend that sweet potato looks like pasta.)

DESSERT was this slice of heaven. Joe surprised me with FOUR pieces of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!!! I’m not the only one with moderation problems, clearly ;-) Maybe he expected me to share. Ha yeah right, he knows me better than that!

What was your dessert last night?

Tell me your weekend plans!!

Last night I made Eatmore Fudge Squares (recipe on Chocolate-Covered Katie) and may or may not have eaten the whole batch. Though to be fair, I waited until first thing this morning to finish them off.

This weekend I’m lying on the couch for 4 days straight because I have a foot injury and weight-bearing hurts. And it’s a great excuse to laze around and watch TV all weekend.

What a beautiful 18-month-old little boy (and even though I’m sure he’ll stay this age forever, he might continue to be beautiful as he grows). :)

I’ve been attacked by that bird THREE times!! It dropped acorns on my head one of the times! Glad to know it’s not just me he doesn’t like :)

What. Is. That. Cheesecake.

Ps last night I had Cheerios for dessert :( We are running low on sweets.

Is that an entire oreo baked in to the middle of that oreo cheesecake?
Sold. Sold, sold, sold times a million.
I can’t believe Noah looks so grown up! He’s getting cuter and cuter with each picture you post of him on the blog, I swear! Hope the the rest of your weekend is a total blast, Elizabeth, good luck avoiding said Red Baron Bird!

Happy18 months to Noah. Cheesecake is not a bad way to celebrate for him ;) my dessert last night was cookies n cream frozen yogurt (hard serve) with a dollop of cookie butter on top. New favorite concoction.

My little guy is 17 months. Time is flying by too fast, right? I love cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, especially their red velvet cheesecake! OMG. So amazing. I hit up Wendy’s for a frosty last night for dessert. :) Not near as great as cheesecake though.

I’m going to guess that’s a momma bird trying to protect her nest ;)

For dessert last night I had some salted caramel ice cream :D It was yummy! I love it. I have no real plans this weekend. I might actually go back to bed… ;)

OMG that cheesecake looks amazing! I’ve tried different flavors there before but always end up disappointed, so I stick with plain with strawberries- I think I’ll give the oreo a try next time though.
Dessert last night was a popsicle.
We have zero plans this weekend and it’s just lovely!! We got married 2 weekends ago and spent last weekend traveling back from Mexico and reentering the real world, so a weekend of nothing is amazing!

I had an Edy’s fruit bar last night, and this weekend I am playing soccer and just chilling!
My little brother is turning 11; if you could have a chat with him and tell him to stay 10 that would be awesome ;)

Aw, I love his little orange top! And 4 pieces of cheesecake? I am so jealous, what a great husband you have!

Oh my gosh….I’m totally going to have to drive over to Cheesecake Factory now. I’m going to to try to buy only one or two pieces but, no promises.

As for weekend plans, I didn’t do much of anything today, but tomorrow I’m doing a 17-mile hike up over 4,000 ft in elevation! Yikes – I’m nervous!!

My Son got married today <3 I now have 3 married children, and 3 left at home. It was just yesterday they were 18 months, It goes by in a blink, and I mean a blink. The good news is I love every new angle the relationship takes, as they go from being dependent on us for everything, for honoring us with phone calls asking our opinion, thats when you know you did something right. Today was bittersweet, mostly sweet <3

For dessert last night I had a pinata cake that I made after seeing it on HRG’s blog (pics are in the link)! I made it for my son’s girlfriend and her roommates. They graduated from Virginia Tech today. I spent the weekend in Blacksburg helping them celebrate!
