This post is a little all over the place… you have been warned ;-)

A few random updates:

1. Joe is starting a new job! You know those things that you pray about and then God pours something in your lap? This was definitely one of them so we have some big changes going on in our family right now!

2. Crossfit is awesome. No one is going to believe me but I think I like it better than running (for now)… GASP, I KNOW! It’s challenging in a good way and I feel strong! Rowing is pretty cool too. I have this tendency to stick to things I’m comfortable with (i.e.. running) and then when I try something new I kind of freak out and get obsessive. I feel like I’m doing a good job balancing the two these days!

3. Monday we had a play date with a little girl who is a month younger than Noah. Her mom and I were both pregnant at ERC (I was there a month before she was, we met once we were both back home). I’m glad they learned how important nourishment is while we were there :-)



These guys would have looked awesome at our wedding.


4. The best meal I had yesterday was a jalepeño popper grilled cheese!


5. And I tried a place called Salata on Monday that was pretty delicious too…

I love rowing. Def my fav cross training. I like to add tomatoes to my grilled cheese. I also dip my grilled cheese in ketchup which I’ve been told is super weird but I love it :)

My favorite cross training is spinning. I get so much energy from the other people in the class. I usually don’t add anything extra to my grilled cheese. Sometimes if I’m feeling adventurous I will season it will some garlic and onion powder, but that’s about the extent. Those picture of Noah and his *girlfriend* are adorable.

That salad looks delicious! I haven’t tried CrossFit yet but have heard great things! No, I don’t add anything extra to grilled cheese…I like it just as it is! :0) The kiddos are adorable!!

I love to row & stairclimb on my cross-training days! I haven’t tried crossfit, but I’ve heard great things! Ham & tomatoes are my grilled cheese fav. Congrats to your hub on the new job, and happy Wednesday to you!!

I really like rowing, too, but I always get blisters :( I want to try cross-fit but I don’t think I can afford it. I have a friend who does it in his friends’ garage..but that sounds like sketch city to me so I’m afraid to try it. I usually add spinach or tomato to my grilled cheese… it’s rarely ever just cheese in there! Now that i’m an “adult”, I should eat “adult” grilled cheese, right?

P.S. I want that little girl’s bow.

Yum! That grilled cheese looks so goooooooood! Favorite cross training would be interval training and pilates and/or yoga. I never thought I would like yoga or pilates, but I believe it has actually improved my running form/performance.

That sandwich and salad looks so good. Yay for the new job, that’s awesome. And ha, I get obsessive about stuff I like too, that’s funny. Glad to know I’m not alone.

Uh, I need to work on cross training actually. Preferably something easy. And nope, I like my grilled cheeses plain!

I love group fitness classes and work out DVDs for cross training. I’ve never tried cross fit. I’m actually kind of scared of it…

I love when God answers prayer in such an obvious way. It reminds me of how faithful He is and how I need to be confident in his abundance! Congrats on the new job and the changes for your family. Exciting times :)

Grilled cheese with extra extra cheese. I plan on giving myself a heart attack at 30 all for the love of cheese.

Grilled cheese and bacon. Unhealthy and amazing. I want to try CrossFit so badly! Right now I have a foot injury, though, so probably not the best idea. I’ve heard great things about it, though.

Favorite type of cross training is definitely elliptical! I really like classes but not possible to do with S right now! Don’t like grilled cheeses at all… I know I’m unamerican! Pass me a PBJ instead!

sometimes a littla ham on the grilled cheese. and hot taco bell sauce:)

Mmm I love grilled cheese! I add all sorts of things… Sometimes ham or chicken, pesto sauce, tomato, bacon, you name it!

One of my favorite new finds is grilled cheese sandwiches with roasted red pepper hummus…it’s totally to die for and reasonably nutritious – double score! Lol :)

My favorite cross-training is the elliptical, but I usually do more stationary biking to really change things up from my running. I’m so happy you’re loving Crossfit!

I’m a grilled cheese purist, although I do use three different types of cheese on each sandwich.

My favorite cross training is cross-country skiing! If I had to give up running for the winter, I wouldn’t mind at all–I’d just ski every day! :) And I absolutely LOVE grilled cheese sandwiches (thanks for making me crave one!). ;) I like to put ham and/or sliced tomatoes on them.
