First order of business, my awesome sister sent me a text yesterday at 7:30 am to wish me a happy National Siblings Day! So one day late, I just wanted to acknowledge the fact that I am so blessed to call these wonderful women my sisters.

I have some BIG NEWS to share with you all this morning!!! Nope, not pregnant. Sorry mom! So lately I’ve been having a little writers block? add to that fact my husband has been out of town for almost three weeks and we are just not out and about as much when it’s just the two of us, and I feel like my life is a little dull! Hey. Sometimes I like dull!

Queue song?

Thank you for your great suggestions on new ways to fill time in yesterday’s comments! I spent some time crafting for my my sister in law’s baby shower on Sunday?

And even though it’s food related, I had to show you these new cake balls I tried from a place called Harvest Bread Co. AMAZING.

Anyway, back to the news, yesterday afternoon I was reading through some emails and getting ready for our #blogsmarter chat last night and I came across an email from Julie, a member of The Healthy Living Summit 2013 planning team. A few weeks back I submitted a proposal to be a speaker at their conference in September. She offered me that spot!!!

I chose to speak about one of my favorite things? emotional health and wellness! I think a lot of the time SO MUCH emphasis is put on physical health and fitness, it’s easy to forget about other things that health encompasses. Whether it spiritual, emotional, relational, mental, you-name-it-al health, it’s so important to keep the WHOLE picture as part of your health routine.

Now it’s your turn to register and come hang out with me there! It will be a rockin time :-)

Here’s Noah because I’m sure you forgot what he looks like since the last time I posted his picture. Random Texas weather was hot and humid yesterday morning then was 40 degrees by 5:00 pm.

1. Tell me some BIG NEWS!

2. How many siblings do you have/where are you in the birth order?

How about you move the Summit to Boston so I can attend? That would be ideal if you ask me… my college budget doesn’t allow me to travel all the way across the country. Stinks.

Hey Elizabeth! Congrats! I am in COMPLETE agreement with your post today. The fact is, the mental health is what fuels the physical health most of the time. Sometimes help is needed to get the body to a healthy point, but once that happens the hard work of what is fueling the behavior, deep rooted mental health, is where true recovery begins! You will be a GREAT speaker! Love you tons!
