Yay for packages that aren’t dead animals and a WINNER!!!

So, I’m late to the party but since Google Reader is going away, I have found Bloglovin to be super helpful! You can organize all your favorite blogs in one place!

Yesterday I ran a total of 9 miles. I got to practice what I preach regarding motherhood and running because the wind was at least 30 miles per hour. I decided that getting up at 4:30 am to run before Joe leaves beats pushing that dang stroller up a hill into the wind ANY day. I made Noah sit on this incredibly scenic rock and take a picture despite the fact that he nearly blew away.

Getting packages (that aren’t dead animals) makes my day?

Chobani sent a few samples and I am pretty excited to try these new flips I have seen floating around the blog world? especially almond coco loco :-)

Switching gears?. Does the thought process behind this not sit well with anyone else? I know this is how it works but just having my own photographs somehow makes eating the meat different.

I cooked this nilgai steak for Joe from the one he shot (thanks Amy for the suggestion on how to cook it!) and I did try some? he thinks it tastes just like steak and I can’t decide what I think. I also took advantage of nilgai night to cook some sweet potato tots and turkey meatballs (Joe isn’t too fond of freezer foods) and use them in a giant salad for myself.

We ended the night with dessert, March Madness, and my super handy husband saving half a grand by fixing the broken headlight on my car. He’s the best!

This afternoon I will be back with part II of my Collegiate Distance Running series! We are talking about racing :-)

I am up daily between 5-515. I’ve gotten up at 4 to start a workout before though (before a huge travel day). Have to do what you have to do.

Usually I run after work- I have such a hard time getting out the door in the morning esp for longer runs!

I’m supposed to be running in the Larne Half Marathon but right now we’re getting a blizzard soo that might not be happening haha! It could be the couch and junk tv

I have gotten up at early as 4:30 to get my long run in before Jess leaves for work. Lately I’ve been bagging it, just not feeling my motivation lately. Not proud of it!

I get up at about 4:30 so I can drive to the gym to use the treadmill 3 days a week before I have to be home to get the kids ready for school and myself ready for work – I am too scared to run in the dark alone so am REALLY looking forward to the sun coming up earlier in the morning in the next few months. I have contemplated buying a treadmill myself but worry that I would use it for hanging laundry.

I’m impressed that you tried the steak – I am a meat lover but never venture beyond the standard cow, pig, or chicken.

I got up at 4:30 today. It was painful. But I can sleep in a bit tomorrow before my long run! Making it through my first half marathon is keeping me motivated :-)

I don’t know if I’d want to eat something that I had seen shot haha but that dinner does look pretty delicious! I love steak and pasta. You just can’t beat that combination. But getting up at 4:30 to run? Girl you are crazyyyyyy!!! I’m off to watch my teammates run at Battleground relays but I sadly will not be running with them. Injuries stink.

HaHa! I spent about two years in high school refusing to eat beef because we lived on a dairy/beef farm and I just couldn’t bring myself to eat something that used to be standing in the field beside the road looking at me with those big eyes!

I once ran at 4:15 AM so I could get home, shower, etc before driving to my brother-in-law’s wedding. I don’t think I could go any earlier…

My fun weekend includes re-certifying for CPR. Livin’ large here!!!

Exciting weekend plans: S first plane ride and trip to a new state this weekend! What time I wake up to workout…new Brooke refuses to let workouts come before sleep! I have had enough early morning workouts in my lifetime I have now retired!

This week I’ve been getting up at 5:30 to work out but I think the earliest I would get up just for a workout would be 5:00. Totally different for a race of course.

I have a bridal shower tonight and a birthday party tomorrow that may include a goat as part of a petting zoo. Kinda weird I know. haha Plus a yoga class tomorrow!

I workout right before lunch time, usually 10:30-11:30. I think it’s the best time. I get a nice mid-day pick up, I get back to a delicious lunch, the gym isn’t too crowded and it’s while I’m at work so it doesn’t take family time away.

I used to get up at 4 AM and exercise every.single.day. Now I’ll get up early but I think 5:00 (with 20 minutes for coffee & waking up) is my limit.

I don’t know if there’s a time I wouldn’t get up for a marathon, but when it comes to working out I can’t get out of bed before 5am! I don’t know how those brave souls do it! Our weekend is on Tuesday and Wednesday, but Saturday and Sunday we’re at least doing breakfast with the inlaws.

I run in the morning as soon as I get up! I usually don’t do it in the dark because I can’t get myself to run on a treadmill, but I might need to try that so I can get more runs in on my days when I have to get up earlier. As promised, I was freaked out about the picture of the nilgai and the picture of the steak so I sped read that because it made me anxious. Sorry, that’s weird.

I’m meeting up with my cousins in Tampa tomorrow and can’t wait! I haven’t seen ANY family since December, so it’ll be fun. It’ll also be a drink fest.

Every day is different as far as workouts go. We have to plan around the family and work quite a bit.
I’ve been thinking about trying Bloglovin… I wasn’t using anything before, but I think having everything in one place might be a really great tool.

Sorry my comment is a little late. I just found your blog so I am going through your most recent posts. I run 3 times a week, on my tues and thurs runs I have to get up by 5:15 so I can run before my hubby goes to work. On sundays are my long runs, but I don’t go out til after breakfast.
