Five Things Friday- 1.24.14

by Elizabeth on January 24, 2014

Hey guys! What’s going on where you are this weekend? We are experiencing a crazy freeze so I’m not to sure what’s on our agenda this weekend besides staying warm! As usual, it’s Friday so I’m linking up with Clare for Five Things Friday!
1. Video. Per readers requests. If pregnancy things weird you out please skip it ;-)

2. Sitting in traffic for 2 hours on the way home from meeting with your dietician (and a quick mall detour… Don’t ask what I did there. It didn’t involve makeup) is much better when you have one of these on hand. With both pregnancies bubble gum has been a huge love of mine!

20140123-193236.jpg3. Speaking of the dietician, weight gain is going beautifully! She is extremely pleased this time around. I won’t lie to you and say it’s always easy, but just like yesterday I will say it’s ALWAYS worth it. When it gets hard to see the number going up each week I imagine the feeling of holding my little girl for the first time. And then I tell myself it’s mostly in my bra anyway ;-) Hey whatever works right?
4. These blew up my Instagram feed yesterday and I am on a mission to find them ASAP! P.S. Shouldn’t ALL the crazy, hormonal, pregnant bloggers out there have received some??? Where you at, Oreo?!

5. The winner of the Healthy Bites giveaway is lucky number 99? Please email me at [email protected] and I’ll get you in contact with Lindsay!

Questions:

1. What are you up to this Friday?!

2. What are your weekend plans?

3. Bubble gum: yay or nay? Favorite variety of Oreos?

I saw those Oreos yesterday too and I NEED them. Apparently they came out with marshmallow ones too. Heaven. I am hunting them down ASAP but rumor has it they aren’t out until February? Don’t care, going to target today.

I saw those oreos on the Today show feed yesterday. They have a toasted marshmallow too. I can’t wait to try the cookie dough ones!!

It’s restaurant week in Kansas City, so I am going to lunch at one of my faves with some girlfriends and trying a new place for dinner with my fiance and another couple. Doesn’t everyone’s day revolve around eating?!?!

I love any of the Oreos that have colored filling. For some reason they just taste better than the white filling…why is that?!?

I think the new flavor of Oreo’s sound gross. They need to leave them the as the original recipe!

Oh my goodness I am pregnant too and I absolutely love bubble gum! Today I actually don’t have any plans besides working, so we will see what happens ha. As for this weekend, my hubby and I are getting the last of the baby stuff ready to go :) I have only ever tried the regular oreos and the oreos with chocolate frosting in the middle. I definitely prefer the original and like them to be double stuffed! However, those new oreos look uh-mazing!

What a wonderful video! I wish I had thought to take a video of my belly during one of my pregnancies. Those Oreos look pretty amazing. Oreos were one of my weaknesses when I was pregnant. :)

I was actually a fan of the somewhat controversial birthday cake oreos and I am SO excited for the cookie dough.

That video made tears come to my eyes. I have yet to have a pregnancy “last”, and every time women say, “oh look! he/she is kicking! Can you feel it?? Can you see it??” I really never can…I just pretend like I do because they are so excited. But HOLY MOVEMENT right there! That is totally awesome and SUCH a MIRACLE how God made this whole “carry a baby in your stomach” thing. :) Can’t wait to have that same experience one day!
