21 Weeks: Smooth sailing.

by Elizabeth on January 16, 2014

I totally didn’t mean to go AWOL on you since Monday! Joe’s been working late most nights this week and by the time I get Noah down for the night I crawl in bed myself! I think the baby is growing and taking all of my energy or something like that…

Baby Sauvageau: 21 Weeks!

Baby?s size? Pomegranate (10.5 inches, weighs a full pound!) Her taste buds work now and she sleeps 12-14 hours a day according to What To Expect!

Maternity clothes? Yes! Last week I mentioned needing some new tops and Gap maternity had some stuff on clearance so I’m just waiting for it to come in! I ordered tanks that can be dressed up or down, hopefully they fit.

Stretch marks? Nope. I never got any with Noah so we will see if this pregnancy is different…

Sleep: Getting a little better. I fall asleep fairly easily. Then wake up at 3:45 AM for the day, so that’s cool.

Best moment this week: Feeling her kicks get much stronger! Almost up in my ribs now which I’m sure I won’t be enjoying for too long. So far it’s been cool because I’m like whoa you’re huge haha! Photo from instagram.

Miss anything? Good sleep. Strike that. Any sleep.

Movement: Yes and loving it. :-)

Food Cravings: Nothing too crazy. I still dream about fried chicken? whether that’s buffalo wings, chinese, homemade, etc. I have been trying to consciously consume more nutritious foods for the baby’s sake! Although I met up with a friend yesterday at Oooh La La and ordered this snickers pie? I was actually about to be late picking up Noah from school and could NOT decide on a cupcake I wanted so I thought Joe would like this and maybe share a few bits. Well, he doesn’t even know I bought it at this point but maybe I will give him the other half tonight? HA.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.

Gender: Girl!!!

Labor Signs: None!

Symptoms: Getting/staying full much more quickly, fatigue, and some back pain. I’ve been doing yoga regularly this week so I’m hoping that will help!

Belly Button ? in or out?  In, and getting flatter haha!

Wedding Rings ? on or off? On!

Happy or Moody? Overall happy!

Looking Forward To: Having family over this weekend to watch football! And since my in laws are staying with us until next week when their new house is being finished, I’m hoping Joe and I can squeeze in a date night? (hint hint if you’re reading!)

Have an awesome Thursday! Tell me anything random, funny, or leave me a good recipe since it’s my grocery shopping day ;-)

I wondered what happened to you! Glad you are taking care of yourself, though! This pregnancy will be over before you know it! (or me because it seems to be flying haha)

Cute little bump!!! I think I try to drop hints to my hubby on my blog sometimes, too. It’s probably on the post that he doesn’t read though hahaha

Somehow your blog is always the one that leaves me with some sort of craving ;) That pie looks amazing! I’ve been getting some rib kicks too! It amazes me how I’ll feel a kick way up high by my ribs and then right after one way down low below my belly button. These little girls sure know how to stretch!

Love the bump! :)
Today it has not stopped snowing all day when the weather predicted it would stop around 9 this morning!

Super cute bump! It’s crazy how fast it goes by, right?!
Sleep?! Yup, tell me about it! haha, I’m 39.5 weeks right now and sleep has been a bit dodgy as of late! Preparation for the next few years perhaps? :)

Ha, I dreamed about chicken wings in my 2nd trimester, which I more than welcomed since I could barely eat in the 1st trimester – oh, the All-Day sickness! You’re so blessed that you managed to avoid most of the nausea/queasiness. I’m so glad that stage is over for me!

Love the “bump” pics – too cute! I’m 2 weeks away from “d-day” and yea, the sleep does not get much better. I agree with the above poster – preparation for the next few years. ;-)

I hear you on the sleep! It’s so aggravating to wake up every hour after 3. All last week, I just got up at 5 to work out b/c I couldn’t take laying in bed anymore. I actually “slept in” until 5:40 today ha. It’s crazy how they don’t let us sleep long before they arrive!
