Blessings in 2014

by Elizabeth on January 1, 2014

Happy New Year, friends! I hope you had a wonderful and safe evening celebrating 2013 and looking forward to what’s to come in 2014! We spent the night with our friends in Lubbock and Texas A&M made an awesome comeback in the chic fil a bowl! Doesn’t get much better than that (especially since my friend and I are both pregnant it got a little crazy towards midnight… And by crazy I mean enjoying the backs of my eyelids.) I asked Joe if this meant all former students get free chic fil a for life. He said no.
Anyway, I definitely plan to do a short yearly recap once we are home but for now you’re stuck with my phone posts. I will say that this year I spent blogging has been awesome. There’s so much to remember and look back on! A year ago I opened up about my eating disorder struggle which was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done after trying to keep it secret for so long. Yet it’s also been one of the most freeing and therapeutic things for me as well. The only real New Years resolutions I have are to continue to grow as a person, friend, wife, and mom. Other than that I’ll just take what comes.
As always THANK YOU so much for reading and thank you for making 2013 such a great year. I wish you nothing but blessings in 2014!

I stumbled upon your blog today and couldn’t have happend at a better time. I just read the post you did last year about the eating disorder and it hit home as well as brought tears to my eyes. It is about control and controling food when live seems out of control has been my way for longer than I can remember. So glad you were able to get help and find new ways to deal with it. I look forward to reading more of your blog posts.
