Thank you for your feedback yesterday! It’s so helpful to know you aren’t alone :-)

Crossfit yesterday was awesome! I’m currently not a weight lifter but yesterday convinced me to start! It was challenging and good to do something different. I’m thinking (if I can get out of bed…) I want to go back today!

Lunch looked like this. Minus whatever ridiculous saturation filter I put on this picture a few months back. I’m pretty sure I had just figured out how to edit photos and I tend to overdo things before I find some balance (surprise ha)!

I see EVERYONE eating these and seeing as how I couldn’t get full yesterday I had one before dinner and it really was as good as people say!

On Sunday night I cooked a huge pan of quinoa so we have been trying something a little different with it (3 nights in a row, might have to change it up tonight!) Last night I used this sauce and made some meatballs (I’ve also been eating red meat each night for the whole anemia thing…) out of Joe’s most recent kill. I was listening to some people talk at crossfit about how they don’t eat meat unless it’s organic and I started getting really freaked about hormones etc. because I NEVER buy organic food. Then I realized Joe killed it. In the wild. Doesn’t get much more organic than that! FTW :-)

The fact that there’s a picture of a panda on the bottle makes this sauce organic too, I’m convinced.

And my not-so-organic dessert.

I love what you wrote yesterday about your weight post – keep it up girlfriend, you are doing a great job:) You are right about the scale – there is so much more to life than that number – take a look at it every once in awhile, and then let it go as it means nothing other than a pointless number.
I buy organic whenever I can. We don’t eat as much meat as we used to because I will only buy organic meat, and it’s expensive! I think since having kids I have really paid a lot more attention to what’s in the food I buy.

I try to buy organic meats, but we don’t eat much meat so I can justify spending twice as much on it. As far as fruit and veggies go, if there’s organic on sale, or if I can’t find the non-organic I buy the organic.

I love to spin. There’s something about a class full of sweaty people that really gets me motivated.

I am way too cheap for organic. I don’t even wash my fruits and veggies most of the time…isn’t that why we eat veggies, for the antioxidants ;)

Lately I love barre classes, but they’re expensive so sometime I just find their videos in you tube :)

I don’t buy organic food because it’s so expensive (and I could eat 6 bags of grapes for the price of 1) but when I’m home we eat mostly organic. When it comes to dessert, though, NO WAY am I eating anything remotely organic. Not a chance.

I always try to buy organic but it’s tough sometimes since I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and organic can definitely get pricey. But my meat and milk are always organic. My fav non running workout is rowing. I could row all day :)

I LOVE Bodypump and kickboxing. I won’t be throwing crossfit weights but I do love the barbell workout of bodypump. GET THOSE GUNS GIRL! :D

I eat organic about half the time. I get an organic produce box delivered to my house every 2 weeks (Farm Fresh to You). I love it. I am becoming more and more intrigued about CrossFit. I hear so many good things about it. My favorite type of workout is pilates, yoga, barre, and plyo.

That dessert looks sooo good!! My favorite workout is bar method- i could do crunches for years and still have that stomach pooch, and bar method has done wonders to reverse that :)

I’ve recently started buying more and more organic. I’m convinced that the non-organic stuff is going to eff up my eggs and give me mutant babies one day. Ahhh!

Like a lot of people, I try to eat organic meat and certain produce – thin skinned stuff like berries and peaches – but it can get expensive, so we try and hit up the farmers market in the spring and just do what we can during the winter!

yes we eat mostly organic. It’s hard to go 100% organic with a family the size of a small tribe.
My favorite workout right now and has been for awhile is circuits. With a close second of kickboxing. Love your blog elizabeth

Good luck with the CrossFitting. Yup, I use it as a verb. If something is organic and on sale or close to the same price I will usually go for it, but I don’t really seek it out. I think locally grown is just as good honestly, we have a lot of locally grown foods here and i wouldn’t turn around for that against organic. I don’t eat meat though, but if I did I would probably strive to get the best possible meat, you know?

I try to do organic/antibiotic-free for our meat whenever possible. I buy most of it from our farmers market so it’s local too!

i want to try crossfit so bad. but i already have a gym membership and can’t justify the $.
someday when my husband is a rich lawyer (it will happen – i’m convinced) we will only eat organic meat/dairy/eggs. of all the things to eat organic i believe these to be the most important. i mean just look how young girls and boys are developing these days. as early as 8 according to my kid’s pediatrician. YIKES! coincidence? i think not!

I’m a Spinning instructor so that’s where I’m at when I’m not running! I’m just getting into the whole strength thing too. Apparently it’s good for you or something ;) I am SO glad you tried a Quest bar! If you put it in the microwave for like 15 seconds it makes the chocolate ones taste ALMOST like dessert! And I usually buy organic vegetables…I saw some really big green peppers and bananas next to organic ones at the grocery store once and they freaked me out haha.

I really like rowing… it’s fun, but I get blisters on my hands from it :( I don’t really buy organic produce because it’s expensive for my single, grad-student, budget. I’d like to buy organic, because I really do have interest in what goes into my body, but it is not feasible right now!!

Maybe 1/3 of the foods I buy is organic. I usually won’t spring for the organic stuff if it’s a lot pricier. I think that choosing organic meat, eggs, and dairy matter more to me than choosing an organic carrot versus a conventional one. I rarely buy meat/seafood/eggs etc. but when I do I usually splurge for the organic stuff.

Snowboarding is my favorite “workout”. I love it and kinda wish it were winter and I was in Colorado.

I’m trying to eat more organic (desserts don’t count because I will assume they are all organic). Is it weird that I zoomed in on all your food pictures tonight in order to properly appreciate (or envy) them?
