A fried chicken waffle sandwich and Top Golf.

by Elizabeth on March 12, 2013

Thank you all so incredibly much (Joe thanks you too!!!) for your openness and honesty regarding his post yesterday! I want to second all the comments about him being wonderfully supportive. In case you were wondering, he is even better in real life than he is in writing and just overall an amazing person to call my husband.

We tried something a little different yesterday? and I’m just going to start by apologizing for the terrible photo quality in this post. Let’s just say right before we were heading out the door Noah started throwing his blackberries at the wall and stomping on the ones he threw on the ground so I didn’t quite have it all together and forgot to grab the camera. Blackberries will in fact, stain wall paint. Go figure.

Do they have these where you live? If not start one ASAP, become a billionaire, and send me cake ball funds since it was me who gave you the idea. There is normally a three hour wait because it’s so packed but we lucked out and only had to wait an hour an a half. Lucky us!

My niece, her parents, and in laws joined us for dinner and golf!

We were SO HUNGRY by the time the food finally came! Joe got a fried chicken waffle sandwich and I had buffalo sliders.

Oh hey there, mug-o-syrup!

His food always tastes better than mine for some reason so I end up stealing it. I do love buffalo chicken though :-)

Another framable family photo for you?.

Look at these two golf studs. Noah hits better than I do.

We are headed to the beach! Have a great Tuesday!!!

1. Have you ever had a fried chicken and waffle sandwich? What’s your favorite sandwich?

2. Thoughts on golf?

Those waffle sliders look awesome! I don’t know how I feel about the chicken with them. But I’ll eat the waffle and someone else can have my chicken. We don’t have a place like that at home but it seems like a really fun time! Golf gets boring to me. I can pretty much go mini golfing and then I lose interest fast.

I cannot get into golf. I use to play softball when I was growing up so I swing my golf club like a softball bat….

That formula doesn’t really make a successful golf player :)

I’ve never had chicken and waffles before, a fact that makes me incredibly sad. And I can’t golf. I have NO hand-eye coordination.

I still haven’t been to Top Golf! I hear great things. Glad to know the food looks pretty decent. May have to see if my husband wants to get over there this weekend!

That sandwich looks amazing! My bf’s family are all REALLY into golf but it’s taking me a while to get into it. My favorite sandwich is chicken with pesto motz and tomatoes… love!

Never had fried chicken and waffle but it looks pretty good! Right now I love the McGriddle breakfast sandwich at McDonalds (great fuel for my body, I know!). There is something about having the sweet pancakes on the outside that is SO GOOD. I’ll bet having the waffles as the bread is similar.
I don’t golf ~ but my dad enjoys it! I know I’m old now, though, because I actually enjoy watching it on TV!!

This just took the cake for me. Every time you mention Chic-fil-A, I think of “Get me a chicken sandwich and some waffle fries” video from YouTube… It’s from like 7 years ago. But now you show me a chicken and waffle sandwich and I just lost it. Not sure why! haha I don’t really eat a lot of sandwiches, but I do love grilled cheese with tomato and avocado. Yum! I don’t think I like golf because I know I hate mini golf and since it’s a miniature sport, it must mean that my feelings for it are less than my feelings for golf, so I guess that I’d either mega hate golf or find it tolerable.

No. My sister lived in Arizona for awhile, and swore they were delicious. My brain short-circuits at the thought of friend chicken on what should be BREAKFASTY DELICIOUSNESS.

Also no on the golf.

Wow. I sound tremendously more boring than I actually (think I) am….

I have had chicken & waffles, but not a chicken & waffle sandwich! Sounds yummy. My all-time favorite sandwich would have to be a hot pastrami from Togo’s (along w/ a side of broccoli cheddar soup!).

I’ve played at a Top Golf in Virginia. Lots of fun!

I have never tried that kind of sandwich but I am adding it to my list for sure!
Personally I love chipotle turkey paninis. They are always good…. even when they are bad. Kinda like cake and donuts.

I am TERRIBLE at golf but my grandparents have bought me lessons growing up because they love it. It’s way more fun to play than watch though.. that’s for sure!

I’ve never heard of Top Golf… I just Googled them and see that they are in only three states. Drum roll please!!! One of those states happens to be Virginia, and their one-and-only VA location is only 45 minutes away! I will have to put this on my “to do” list. Do they serve cake balls? If so, I can scratch two things off at once! :-)

I have to admit that I’ve never tried [what sounds like] the amazingness that is a chicken wafflewich, but I love both chicken and waffles, so I’d imagine that combining the two would take things to a whole other level of deliciousness. Golf, on the other hand, I’m not a big fan of. Maybe it’s the goofy fashion or the fact that I kind of stink at it, but I’ve just never been able to get into it at all.

Never tried a fried chicken and waffle sandwich but now I really want to! Also I loved Joe’s post and how romantic it was as well as being informative… So sweet! But I’m kind of mad at him for the cliff hanger ending and making us wait until Monday, oh and I’m mad at you too for not letting him tell all about the proposal yet :)

I have never, ever played golf. I think I need to one of these days.

My favorite sandwich used to be at Cafe Zupas but they discontinued it :( Saddest day! It was called the Milano and it had pesto, ham, tomatoes and munster cheese. All of it as a panini (which we know makes it a billion times better) Whoa. Soo good!
