My Friday morning one hour run felt the best I have since the race! I wasn’t planning on doing a long run this morning but I ended up feeling pretty good so went about 14.5 miles. An ice bath will be happening soon! Next week I hope to start workouts again, we will see! Pretty soon after finishing my run yesterday I drank one of these protein smoothies. I think I liked the strawberry banana better, but this one wasn’t bad

We ran some morning errands and came home and had lunch. I don’t know what kind of pear that is, but I’m thinking I need to add it to a salad with some of the champagne pear vinaigrette… yum.

After nap time, we had plans to meet a friend for a play date at the cutest little dessert boutique, unfortunately they had to cancel so we made it mommy/son date instead. Possibly the best date I’ve ever had (no offense, Joe) and you will soon see why.

I know you probably think I ordered one of everything, unfortunately my current budget didn’t allow it. I did inquire on whether or not employees get a discount. I’m not opposed to getting a job where you get cheap desserts (and sneak them into your purse while people aren’t looking. Kidding kind of.)

Top notch quality conversation with this stud.

We met our friends Beth and Jeremy for dinner at Carrabas! Love these two and I wish we saw them more frequently!!! The mozzarella sticks were a hit.

I ordered a spinach and goat cheese flatbread with extra spinach. Still working on that whole moderation thing.

I loved catching up with this amazing lady.

And this guy too

This is what I picked up at Ooh La La (along with some other things…) It’s an ultimate chocolate cupcake with 19 inches of frosting and a CHOCOLATE CREAM center. Oh and chocolate chunks on top and cooked throughout. My new goal in life is to find the creator of this masterpiece and become their best friend. Shoot for the stars, right?

I think it’s normal to come home from dinner, put on the baggiest sweats you can find with your bright orange compression socks and sit on the couch with chocolate crumbs all over your face. Could I be any sexier? Nope.

One more picture (although you can’t see the cream center I promise it’s there.)

Have a wonderful weekend!

New life plan: we go into business together to make the most delicious cupcakes ever. Extra frosting and cream center. Sound good? Good, I thought so. Have a great weekend! Definitely my ideal kind of Friday.
Yep! Let’s get this thing rolling! Although I don’t know how profitable it will be with us eating 90% of the product
Favorite Italian food? Whoa. Tough decisions, there. These days, I think that fresh mozzarella on ANYTHING would win that contest. If the tomatoes are perfect, juicy, and sweet – and matched with the mozz, all the better. [Asia isn't big on cheese, and finding good tomatoes here is...well, challenging.] But I also really like warm focaccia bread that I can pull apart, dip in olive oil, and stuff in my face. *drool*
Something awesome about my weekend? Hm…How about: Neither of us has *too* much work to do, so we’re spending the whole thing together: errands, gym, workouts, food, friends, etc.! WIN!

That cupcake looks fantastic! I love Carrabba’s. their side dish of tomatoes and cucumbers in some magical sauce is my favorite.

I am not sure what kind of pear you had, but if you must try the Asian pear. it almost looks like a golden delicious apple. Those pears are amazing. Probably the best there is.
I will say I miss real Itailian food. I was diagnosed with celiac a year ago. However, I am learning to like the gluten free alternative pasta, but lets be honest, brown rice pasta is not the same. I did recently make a zucchini lasanga. It was pretty amazing!!!
As far as this weekend goes, it will be pretty relaxing! Not much planned. I had homemade pizza last night too. All of your yummy pizza’s have had me craving it!
OMG I need that cupcake! I had a few too many margaritas last night so I wasn’t going to have any sweets today, but now I’m feeling the call of the bakery!

Holy cupcake! I think you just inspired me to head to to Ooh La La, so thanks!! This weekend’s awesomeness: a long run to downtown Houston and back, a lengthy bike ride in Galveston, and a much needed trip to Trader Joe’s for some pizza dough and my favo fixin’s!! Happy Saturday!!

Well, I had a nice relaxing weekend planned of just hanging out and doing a 7 mile run, but now I’m thinking of driving the 1000 ish miles (? I’m not exactly sure how many miles it is to Texas from here, directions and I don’t really get along well) to Oh la la Boutique so I can eat my heart out. Crazy? Not. at. all.
Ok so that is borderline mean to put that awesome cupcake up on your blog and now I need to go see if I can find a similar one! Because it looks so so so good. I guess I will be ok because we are celebrating my sister’s birthday tonight and there is going to be an awesome chocolate cake there. .. and I will post pictures of it and then we can be even!

Yum! That flatbread looks AMAZING! Goat cheese is like my favorite! And spinach is my absolute favorite. What’s wrong with ordering extra spinach? NOTHING!!! I had a fantastic flatbread at our hotel in Disney last weekend: it was spinach and artichoke and amazing. AMAZING. My favorite italian dish is probably eggplant parmigiana
I LOVE eggplant.
This weekend I’m headed back to the place that changed my life recently and makes me so so happy. They’re starting their therapy season on Monday and I’m going to help the interns transition into the therapy season because I remember how crazy it was when I started last year during the first week of therapy! SO EXCITED! I haven’t been there since November, so I’m crazy excited to go.

We are trying to break a world record by having the most people run 200m in a kilt. It’s this afternoon and I have my kilt all ready to go!
Have a great rest of your weekend!

That is a way to start a Friday. What a blast, I have never been to a dessert bar but I am pretty sure I have to add that to my bucket list.

My new life plan is to find a place like that around here. Sweet mother of deliciousness, my PMS ravaged body needs that amount of chocolate right now!

Hi Elizabeth! I recently found your blog through HRG and love it! But I think this is my first time commenting. The cupcake lured me in. My favorite bakery makes a dulce de leche cupcakes that I will knock a person over for so I completely understand why you added a bonus picture of your cupcake.
My favorite Italian dish is anything with cheese…but I guess I’d pick lasagna, if I had to pick just one thing.

I recently found your blog and so glad I did! Your son is adorable especially in the pics with the cupcake! Adorable. I just visited last week a cupcake store in Charlotte, NC and goodness, next morning I felt like I had a hangover because of all the sugar…but it was so worth it! Favorite Italian dish… pasta with seafood in it! Yum.

Those cupcakes are incredible!!!! I have made similar ones but the centre sounds like a dream! https://fortheloveofpork.wordpress.com/
I ran past that place probably 10 times (doing laps around that block actually) and now I’m kicking myself for not going in!!!
Any shrimp, scallops, and pasta dish would rank up there as my favorite Italian dish. My hubby and I went out with four other couples to our favorite restaurant and had a blast! Have a great rest of your weekend!

P.S. One of goals is to go into Georgetown and stand in the long line to buy a cupcake! I’ve eaten their cupcakes and they are delicious, but I haven’t experienced standing in line and salivating until I can hand over a ridiculous amount of money for a little piece of heaven!

I don’t know if I can pick a favorite Italian dish. I love so many of them! Lasagna is pretty high up there, tortellini, ravioli. It’s all delicious!

That cupcake looks awesome by the way. Super cute picture of you and Noah!
