Honesty vs. Selfishness

by Elizabeth on February 17, 2013

Me and my legs were rockin’ on yesterday’s long run. I did 15.5 miles and at this point 15 miles doesn’t seem like it affects me any more than 8 or 9 does. At some point though around mile 9 I didn’t think I wouldn’t finish just because my hands and fingers were so cold. Feel really bad for me because I tried to be all tough and not wear mittens even though it was 30 degrees. Never again. I had my second Trader Joe’s trip of the week… Here were some new finds (I really went back for the champagne pear salad dressing and they DIDN’T HAVE IT!!!)

It probably seems like my life is spent at the park, running, and eating chocolate, and well, it is.

Who wants to start sending me money for Noah’s braces fund? Thanks in advance.

Noah had a blast with his Aunt Lisa yesterday!

I used the TJ whole wheat pizza dough to make 4 different kinds of pizza for dinner. Buffalo chicken, BBQ chicken, artichoke and cheese, and spinach artichoke. Joe and I decided the artichoke and cheese won the gold.

It’s the one on the left.

We ended the night just hanging out watching The Holiday and working on making a bigger dent than I already have in this stash… I would invite you over to help me but let’s be honest, I’d never share. Sorry. Does honesty cancel out selfishness?

Today a few of my old high school friends are coming over for dinner and I couldn’t be more excited!!!

Question

Do you make your own pizza? Pizza crust? What toppings do you like?

I love your dessert stash ;) I don’t like to share either. But let’s be honest, what sane person would willingly give up a bite of a cookie cake?
I made pizza with TJ’s whole wheat dough last weekend and it came out so good! I went with plain cheese though :) Oh, and I completely understand how 15 miles feels the same as 8 miles at this point. Distance runner problems.

I had a plan to hit up Trader Joe’s today after my run this morning to pick up pizza dough to make pizza for dinner tonight. You just gave me a little extra inspiration! Thanks! You should try sliced tomatoes, spinach, feta and pesto….it’s crazy good..

That pizza dough is my favorite! And don’t worry- I’d just steal bites of your desserts whenever you left the room. You’d never even notice ;) .

We use Wegmans pizza dough & top it with buffalo chicken. I also really love ham & pepperoni or white pizza.

Your pizzas look delicious! My younger sister just had to get a ‘twin block’ put in her mouth, which is just like a huge retainer to open up her jaw so she can get braces eventually. Poor kid can’t close her mouth and has a huge lisp now! So Noah’s teeth aren’t THAT bad, haha. They’re cute!! :)

My roommate and I have been using the whole wheat pizza dough from TJs too! It makes the best pizza, I’m obsessed! So far we’ve been making one big pizza with tomato and basil or pepperoni, but making little ones with different toppings is such a good idea.

We use a ready-made crust from the grocery store, but do everything else ourselves. I want to try and make my own sometime soon!

First of all, my GOD woman I was proud of my 11 miles with no gloves till I read this ;) Ugh I SOOO want to get there in the distance department – sorry I have been rambling all weekend about my full marathon bucket list dillema (the dillema is I don’t think I can ever find the time to train!) Love LOVE LOVE Trader Joes so thanks for the cool finds, I’ll look for them on my next trip. I so do NOT make my own pizza crust but I love me some veggie pizza :) http://www.colorushealthy.com

I LOVE this! I don’t want to share my chocolate either. I do like to make my own pizza, but I’ve never made my own crust. Spinach and mushrooms are my go-to pizza toppings..I love them.

I think I need to try that lemonade! Better than chick crack lemonade? And I’m definitely bringing a cooler on my Houston trip so I can bring home some pizza dough!
