I refuse to live a lie. It’s something within the past I have struggled with but will no longer tolerate, my friends. It was revealed to me yesterday that my very own husband does not have a gratitude journal.
I know, I was just as shocked as you are. Even Noah (not 13 months) has one. I am still in disbelief as I type this. If you or someone you know is currently suffering from a lack of this journal, please follow the above link for more information.
Setting that issue aside, yesterday was another great day with family! We started out with breakfast with Santa! Noah’s grammy was there along with his aunts and two older cousins. Robby (my nephew) was a trooper and loved Santa! Even while he was in church beforehand he was asking to see Santa. Lindsey (his mom, my sil) told him, “No, right now we’re with Jesus…”
Noah finally warmed up to Santa! Third time’s the charm I guess! My niece Abigail wanted nothing to do with him. Didn’t even want him in the room while she had her breakfast.
We went to mass and then had our family advent bible study we started last week. I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly so far! It’s great to talk to loved ones on a deeper level and broaden your spiritual perspective.
We then continued right on with family time and had a late birthday for me/gingerbread house making party. I have two of the BEST sisters in law in the entire world. After being out of town all weekend they still let us come over and pretty much destroy their clean house with an explosion of candy canes, frosting, and sprinkles.
Although I spy a few little hoodlums who might have contributed to the damage. We only let them out of their cages on special occasions as you can see.
Look at this awesome set up we had for making gingerbread houses! I’m telling you if you want someone to throw you a party who goes above and beyond, I’ve got your girl.
And lastly, I give you the Johnny Heisman of all gingerbread houses. And yes, in case you weren’t sure, I did it as a redshirt freshman…
Have a great Monday!
When did you/your kids warm up to Santa? Anyone else out there a redshirt freshman fan
