We did the unthinkable.

by Elizabeth on January 18, 2013

Yesterday Noah and I both woke up feeling pretty flu like so we had a lazy morning sitting around in our pajamas until noon. I made us some comfort food for lunch (peanut butter, honey, and banana panini for me and the same for him except with jelly because babies can’t have honey) and then we headed out to the exciting world that is Walmart. I’m still trying to figure out how to work the camera… when I zoom in it gets blurry and won’t focus. Any advice? In other blogging news, be on the lookout for some exciting new changes coming soon!

We were in search of some shoes for Noah to wear to a wedding this weekend and were unsuccessful in finding any. We WERE successful in being highly entertained by the people of Walmart. It never fails.

Wud up rhinestone cowgirl?! Get ya some uh those veggies.

Hey, at least we got something out of the trip right? Even if it was only our comedic relief for the day ;-).

Once we got home and Noah had his nap, we decided it would be fun to go play at the park!

We even made a few new friends while we were there.

It was just me and NJ for dinner last night so I did the unthinkable. Joe would never allow me to do it if he had been here.

Joe hates onions more than anything in the world. I never buy them or cook with them because I value the stability of our marriage. We made a huge stir fry that included onions for our dinner last night and it felt almost the same as the time in high school when my parents went out of town and I threw a huge crazy party and the cops showed up. Just kidding, mom. I never threw a party because YOU never went out of town. And let’s be honest, I only had three friends in high school. One of whom was the principal. I really wish I was kidding.

Today involves another attempt at finding wedding shoes and babysitting my awesome nephew, Robby!

oh my gosh – I *HATE* onions as well!! it’s one of the only things I’ll ever say that about. My parents joke that I’ve got an allergy to it. Seriously, I do not want to see those slimey things, or smell it, or definitely taste it. iiiiiiiiiiiick!! LOL

and yep..I kinda love Walmart, I gotta say, but there are some characters there!

I love onions…hubby hates them…hahah!

I sometimes sneak some in my salad during the day and at night (kissing goodnight) he can still taste them??? Then the look..of, “You had onions today didn’t you” is priceless but embarrassing. ;-)

Best of part of my Friday is that my hubs is picking up Ella from daycare so I can run in peace before I coach tonight! I was so excited when he offered yesterday! Also – I cannot stand onions and wish that my hubs had the same respect for my hatred as you do for your husband.

Running in peace?! That sounds awesome haha! You won’t have to worry about fussing, picking things up that get thrown out of the stroller (or finding things that apparently got thrown out a week ago…) Have a GREAT run :-)

Omigosh that panini looks incredible. Ultimate comfort food for sure :D As for onions, I love the flavor they add to certain dishes, but my stomach doesn’t handle them too well so I don’t end up eating them all that often. It always feels great to get away with things that seem taboo, though. Happy Friday, girlie!

PS – Noah is absolutely adorable. My heart is melted <3

Must dig my panini maker out to make that beautiful creation!

I LOVE onions especially when they’re all cooked up in something. Sadly my BF doesn’t like them (or any vegetable) so I always have to find healthy meals with no veggies in it. He’s an odd ball… but I love him :)

Hope you’re feeling better now! This weekend I’m going wedding dress shopping with my best friend… I’m her MOH in July!!

I could really take them or leave them. .. however I hate when my husband eats them because it seems to take forever for them to get off his breath!
