Yes, I did get passed on the slopes by a 2 year old.

Just dropping in really quickly this morning to tell my mom I’m ALIVE! Thanks for all the prayers, they undoubtedly worked even though there were some close calls. Although skiing pretty much terrifies me, you don’t get these views at sea level.

If I can be sappy for just a moment I am going to brag on Joe and say he is the best husband in the entire world. He sacrificed a day of skiing with the guys to teach me how to not roll down the mountain. Thanks babe :-)

Not only was he always patient and encouraging to me, he even told me I was getting close to “pro” status. If love isn’t blind I don’t know what is because I definitely got passed by a two year old out there. I wish I was kidding.

My uncle and I started off this morning with a run together. Even at 9000 feet we still managed to have a quality conversation and I really enjoyed his company! P.S. Uncle Micah, in case you don’t end up settling on the cabin you bid on yesterday, I found this one down the road that was also for sale ;-) Complete with a basketball hoop for Joe.

Today is our last day in Crested Butte but I have a feeling we will be back soon.

I know you’ve never in your life seen a picture of a beautiful sunset so you’re welcome. We are off to see a little more of the town before we drive back to Denver tonight. Traveling has been amazing and I am looking forward to getting back home and into a routine again tomorrow.

One last thing, it is my sister in law Sarah’s BIRTHDAY today!!! Wish her a happy birthday because no one deserves it more than her! She is an awesome mom, wife, sister, friend and is one of the most selfless people I know. Love you Sarah!!!

Don’t worry- those two year olds are ruthless out there! As a seasoned skier and Colorado native, I still get shown up by the little ones :) Beautiful pictures!

These views make me so jealous! I absolutely loveeee skiing. And props for running! I am barely able to walk up a flight of stairs when I’m in the mountains.

haha I laughed out loud about walking up the stairs! It’s definitely a struggle at altitude!

Those 2 year olds are crazy on the slopes, I think it’s because they have no fear! So funny to watch them too because they are so coordinated and us “adults” make skiing look so hard. Beautiful views!!
