Happy Halloween, friends! I hope your day is filled with more candy than you typically consume in an entire year As a kid, this holiday ranked right up there with Christmas for me. We trick-or-treated with pillow cases until I was 17 and once I became a runner my best friend and I ran from house to house to maximize doorbell ringing, candy collecting minutes. Then when we got home we would come home and organize our candy by types. I’m not even joking. This was serious business.
I’m thinking one isn’t too young to start training this one to do the same…
Yesterday they had Halloween parties and costume day at his school. He made his own trick-or-treating bag (I had to laugh… all the other kids’ bags had smiles and there’s Noah’s. Kid’s got attitude.) I think he was sad this bag won’t be big enough for the amount of trick-or-treating he plans to do.
Halloween eve was celebrated right in our household. We started with four cheese pizza. I decided to add alfredo sauce and more mixed cheese because four cheeses is never enough for anyone.
We made some pumpkin sugar cookies…
And then Joe and I carved pumpkins. Noah decorated his with Sesame Street stickers. Joes:
I will give anyone who can identify the following character $1 (no mom, you can’t win). Don’t all jump at once.
If you guessed Daniel Tiger (from the PBS show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Noah’s one true love) you are correct.
Have an awesome Halloween!
