Throwback Thursday: Halloween Costume Edition

by Elizabeth on October 24, 2013

In honor of Halloween being ONE WEEK away, I decided to celebrate with some costumes from my past. I first saw this idea on Gabrielle’s blog who I actually met in person back in September at HLS! Brace yourself…

Meet 11 month old Elizabeth. Already contemplating which came first? the chicken or the egg.

My mom still has a thing for pumpkin patches.

Nice glasses Dad! And mom was confused? just to clarify it’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, not cows. My sister is pretty cute though you have to admit.

Little Bo Peep and the sheep.

My candy addiction began at a VERY young age. Not too sure why the bride has a red lipstick kiss on HER face…

I’m pretty thankful my taste in wedding dresses evolved over the years.

So many faces, so few words…

Kaylen: the happiest, saddle shoe-wearing’ cat in the whole dang town.

I was really awkward long before it was cool to be really awkward. And don’t act like you’ve never seen a crayon on roller skates.

Who wanted to be genies for Halloween? These girls.

What are the best and worst costumes you’ve seen???

These are so cute! I think everyone either was an M&M or knew someone who was one for Halloween. I think I wanted to be a Witch 5 years in a row…

What a great post. Our Halloween costumes were surprisingly similar… I was also a genie and a crayon at some point … sans roller skates.

My best costume was a Hershey Kiss my mom made me. I blame my mother for my candy addiction, too! lol

So fun! I love seeing all the old costumes.

My worst I think was in elementary school I decorated a box to look like a TV and wore it on my head so it looked like I was on TV. Lame.

Oh my word I love the retro costumes. I was totally a genie as well one year. Best costume I’ve seen this year was a gal dressed up as Ariel, but when she was wearing the old torn sail and rope. So funny.

oh my gosh I can totally see so many similarities between little Elizabeth and Noah! He looks so much like you! Cute costumes :)

I don’t know that I ever had a bad costume. Growing up I remember being Minnie Mouse, Belle, Jasmine, a cheerleader, a devil…ok I’m sure there were more but that’s all I’ve got right now. It was always hard though to adjust costumes for cold Utah October nights. It was always sad to have to wear long sleeves underneath or coats on top.

Best: I was Justin Bieber two years ago.
I don’t think I had a worst…my mom always made ours and since it’s her favorite holiday, we always looked awesome ;)

I am going as Lady Gaga this year. Should be pretty fun for the party tomorrow (friday) night. :) Worse costumes? That is a hard one…probably Borat’s leotard just because it is nasty or those full body suits. It is amazing how crazy people go all out for Halloween. It isn’t my favorite holiday so I do my best.
