Proof that I am actually super lazy.

by Elizabeth on September 5, 2013

I know the reason you all showed up this morning. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I overdosed on chocolate last night. For day 5 of Fabulous Fall Foods I made Cookie Dough Brownies in the Crockpot. I don’t know how baking could get any easier (lazier? you decide…)

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 box of brownie mix
  • 1 package chocolate chip cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions:

Turn crockpot on low and combine the brownie mix, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of milk, and half the stick of butter. Stir until mixed well. Let that cook for an hour (I stirred mine occasionally so that the brownie didn’t get too crusty on the sides). When the hour has passed combine the cookie mix, an egg, the remaining milk and the other half of the butter in a bowl and mix it well. Pour it on top of the brownies and cook for two more hours. Voila!

Please report back to me if you try them :-) So as you know, yesterday was Noah’s first day of school. While he was there I had my third acupuncture session and I have to admit, the more I go, the more I like it. After that, I went to do some shadowing at the local place I became a volunteer at. What an awesome experience! Before I knew it, it was time to pick him up.

All ready, mom!

He and his cousin, Abigail, go to the same place so he was (way) more excited to her when I picked him up!

They grow up so fast!

Have a wonderful Thursday. And make the brownies. I’m not kidding.

Challenge for today:

Take a moment and think of 5 things you are grateful for. Feel free to list them below.

Brookies are my favorite dessert (and my mom makes them about once a week but always “forgets” to send them to me) but I’ve never seen them done in the crock pot! The gooeyness is the best part!

Love this challenge. I am grateful for:

1. My friends. Even though they live all over the country, they are amazing and I’m really blessed to have them.
2. My health.
3. The fact that I live in a safe neighborhood and don’t have to worry about being hurt in my home.
4. My bloggy friends!
5. French fries

Thanks for challenging us to do that! Being grateful really does make you feel 1000x better.
